Client Services Associate

Related experience in financial, insurance, accounting or legal industry required.

Full-time in-office position; Monday-Friday.

For over 25 years, Wealth Advisors of Iowa (WAI), a SEC registered RIA firm located in West Des Moines, IA, has provided tailored advice to help clients reach their financial goals. WAI is an affiliate of MHCS, a long-established and well-respected local CPA firm.

WAI is currently seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter to take ownership of a variety of administrative and operational support tasks, helping to ensure the success of advisors, clients and the firm.  Working closely with the Director of Client Services, responsibilities include:

  • Assist with client forms/account setup, data entry, all realms of client services in the financial industry (investments, life insurance, and annuities)
  • Maintain accurate and up to date client records in CRM systems
  • Coordinate with custodians and third-party partners to resolve account issues
  • Coordinate client events, team events, client gifts, etc.
  • Confirm receipt of payments and inform appropriate parties
  • Track and report on new business
  • Serve as backup to the receptionist
  • Perform related duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1+ years of related administrative experience required, preferably in the financial industry, however, administrative professionals from adjacent fields such as property casualty, insurance, or law/CPA firms will be strongly considered
  • Strong attention to detail with a willingness to pitch in and contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as needed
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and PC skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems proficiency
  • A quick learner with the ability to quickly and effectively adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • High professional standards and integrity including the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, data and communications
